Miracle Nehwah, infant daughter of Charles and Buelah (who is still hospitalized in a coma) and granddaughter of Martha Nehwah, was received into the family of God through Holy Baptism on June 20. Sponsors were Kita and Lue Her. We remember Miracle and her loved ones in our prayers as we recall her "miraculous' birth.
Lue Her has been appointed Executive Director of the new Ausburg Academy for Health Careers, a small urban public school in Saint Paul. Students will be prepared for a vocation in healthcare, post-secondary studies leading to a health care career, or other advanced studies. Students will represent the diverse communities in the Twin Cities. Inaugural classes for 9th and 10th grades will begin this fall, and this charter school will offer its academic programming free of charge to Minnesota students. Our congratulations to Lue, and we look forward to hearing more about this exciting educational venture.
Kyle Hanson is now the Property Manager for the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority. Kyle is looking forward to the challenge of working with the very diverse community of people who live in public housing in Minneapolis. We congratulate him on his appointment to this important responsibility.
Elsa Peterson was one of the 90,000 people who sampled the new light rail train in Minneapolis on its first day of operation. Well cone. Elsa; we hope it meets with your approval.
